Houses across the region, apartments in the centres
At the 2021 Census, separate houses were 73.1 per cent of occupied dwellings in the Liverpool local government area, 72.2 per cent in Fairfield and 55.0 per cent in Canterbury Bankstown, against 65.6 per cent for New South Wales.
The centres are the opposite. In the suburb of Liverpool, 65.0 per cent of dwellings were flats or apartments. In the suburb of Bankstown it was 58.5 per cent.
So the same region asks for two kinds of job: a house, its gutters and its driveway, or the common property of a strata building and the car park under it.
