Gutter cleaning across Sydney

Gutter cleaning in Sydney, $249, with photographs proving they are empty.

You cannot see your own gutters, which is why the complaint that keeps turning up in this trade is a short visit, a full invoice and mud still sitting up there. So the run gets cleared by hand, then flushed, then photographed at both ends, and the debris leaves in the truck. That figure is a single storey. A double is $399, GST included.

Or with the house wash, which costs less than buying both

Two jobs on one visit is one drive, one setup and one pack down, so the saving is real rather than a discount invented to move you up a tier. It is also the visit where somebody is already looking at your eaves and downpipes, which is where most of the streaking on a wall comes from anyway.

What a gutter clean should include, and what people find missing

The complaint that keeps turning up is not a disaster. It is a short visit, a full invoice, and mud still sitting in the gutter afterwards. Every line below is the answer to that.

Insured, with the certificate of currency available on request, and a written scope before anything starts. Five things worth checking, on us or on anybody else.

Gutter cleaning questions

How much is gutter cleaning in Sydney?

A single storey house is $249 and a double storey is $399, both including GST. That covers clearing, flushing, the downpipes and taking the debris away.

Is it cheaper with a house wash?

Yes. House wash and gutters together is $699 on a single storey and $1,149 on a double, both including GST. It is one drive, one setup and one pack down, so the saving is real rather than a discount invented to move you up a tier.

How often should gutters be done?

Once a year for most Sydney houses, and twice where there are gums or a big deciduous tree over the roof. If yours are clean when we get there we will tell you to leave it longer next time.

Can gutters contain asbestos?

They can. Cement sheet was used for eaves, fascia, downpipes and fences as well as walls, mostly in buildings from between 1945 and 1990. If anything up there is or might be cement sheet we stop and tell you, because pressure cleaning it is prohibited.

Where does the sludge go?

Into a bag and off the property. Wash water and gutter debris must not enter the stormwater system, and hosing a gutter out into the street is the easy version of a pollution offence rather than a shortcut.

Do you install gutter guard?

No. We clean gutters and we tell you honestly whether guard would help on your roof, which on a house under gums it often does not as much as people hope. There is no upsell waiting at the end of this job.

Take the gutters, or take the pair

No deposit, so nothing to lose by going first, and a person confirms it by phone within one business day.
